When is the best time to praise the Lord?

6am - Get out of bed in my right mind - "Praise Him!"
7am - Leave for work and get stuck in traffic - "Hallelujah!"
8am - Get to work - "Praise God for my job!"
5pm - Headed home - "Thank you Lord for my home."

My Pastors are fond of reminding us that we need to praise God when we feel like it and praise Him when we don't. Do you praise Him only when you are in a good mood? I find that praising the Lord puts me in a better mood than I am already in. I "think myself happy" by letting God know how much I love and appreciate Him. How can any of us "have our chin dropped low enough to suck two dozen marbles out of a gopher hole"? The Lord tells us to make a joyful noise. The next time you are in stuck in traffic praise the Lord that you have a car to be stuck in. You'll feel better and the person in the car next to you may see you praising God as well. What a wonderful witnessing opportunity.

Our Comforter

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Pastor Janice taught from this scripture in her lesson last week. She brought to remembrance that God has provided a comforter to us. He is here to listen, teach, and encourage us. In another lesson we talked about being tourists here on Earth. This is not our home, but a temporary place until we are called to be with Him eternally. Since we are only visiting this world we need a guide. That's the Holy Ghost. He helps us to find our way through this world. The Holy Ghost gives us a clear understanding of God's word and His will for our lives. He lays out God's plan for us and helps us to pray from our heart. If you are looking for more information about the Holy Ghost and how to receive Him please click on the Prayer Request link. It's on the upper right hand corner of this page. Let our Pastors' Dr. James and Dr. Janice Cann pray for you and answer any questions you may have.
